i had an accident on my own property and broke my arm. can i claim on house insurance or public liability?

holfordstars asked:

i tripped over a sandbag on my drive and broke my arm. consiquently i can’t work as i am a waitress.is it possible to claim loss of earnings for the three months while it heals and as i had just left my house to go to work when the accident occured , would it be viable to make a claim on my employers insurance as i should be covered from the moment i step out my door.

I think your home owners ins should cover it, your employer has nothing to do with it.

the liability coverage on your homeowners insurance is for nonresidents.
thats a big, NO.
and you wernt injured at work either.-so, NO.
if you dont have health insurance, or temporary disabiltiy you can get unemployment maybe?

It depends on what clauses on you insurance policy states about claims and coverage for third party damages.
